About Us:

Heather Brown, Assistant Vice President of Institutional Planning and Research. She has held research positions at four community colleges in southern California and worked as a consultant for 2-year and 4-year colleges. Heather served as a board member for the California Association of Institutional Research. At the Claremont Colleges, she gained classroom experience as a teaching associate for psychology and research methods classes while earning her doctorate in Applied Social Psychology from Claremont Graduate University.

Sunnary Adeva, Manager of Institutional Planning and Research. She has held research positions at two community colleges in Southern California and worked as a consultant for 2-year and 4-year colleges. As a researcher she has presented research reports at the local and state conferences. At California State University, Fullerton, she gained valuable training and experience in the social research methods while earning her B.A. in Sociology.

Maria Ramirez, Systems Research Analyst.  Maria began her career as a Grant Coordinator, securing and managing federal grants.  More recently, she worked as a Research Analyst for two different school districts in Arizona.  Maria has over 5 years of experience assessing educational achievement, conducting program evaluation, and developing measures of program effectiveness.  Maria earned her B.A. from ASU (Magna Cum Laude) and M.S. from City of University in London.

Araceli Hernandez, Research Assistant. Over the past four years she has helped Institutional Planning and Research with numerous projects as she continues her education through Mount St. Mary’s College.

Student and contract workers also help the IPR Office meet the college's information and research needs.
