The College’s historic Doheny Campus near downtown LA opened in 1962 on what was once the Doheny Family estate. Academic programs on the downtown campus include the Mount’s graduate degree programs, the associate in arts program, the education credential program, and the Weekend College, which offers a baccalaureate degree program to working adults. Many of the other programs at the Doheny Campus are also offered in evening and weekend formats.
The Doheny Campus is situated on peaceful, wooded grounds in the Historic West Adams District. It is home to the famous Doheny Mansion as well as a number of other homes built around 1900 that are now used for classes, offices, and student housing.
While the campus itself provides a quiet park-like setting ideal for studying, it is also just minutes away from the Staples Center, the Disney Music Hall, Olvera Street, Union Station, Little Tokyo, Korean town, and the Theater, Jewelry, Fashion, Flower, and Financial Districts.
Like the College’s Chalon Campus, the Doheny Campus has garnered its share of attention from Hollywood for its unique beauty and architecture. Movies such as The Princess Diaries, Catch Me If You Can, Shop Girl, and Spiderman 3 have all been filmed on the Doheny Campus.
