Welcome to the Mount! We hope you find what you need on these pages. We've posted most of what you need here to ensure your transition to the Mount. We will add more information as it becomes available and at the appropriate time.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR NEW MOUNT STUDENTS
WEBADVISOR
WebAdvisor is The Mount's online tool that you will be using throughout your time here. You will use it to confirm enrollment, check financial aid, search for classes, register for classes and more.
You should have already received a letter with your username and password. You will need these to access this tool. CLICK HERE TO GET YOUR LOG-IN INFO!
MSMC EMAIL
MSMC uses email as the official form of communication with our students. Important information is sent to your MSMC email account and it's your responsibility to check it often. You should have received a letter with your email address and password information. If you did not receive it, please contact the MSMC HelpDesk and provide your MSMC Student ID, as it is secured. Just call (213) 477-2970 or (866) 224-6968. A letter will be sent from the Admission Office to that includes your ID, username and password. If you do not receive it, please call 213-477-2561.
ANGEL
All students are required to utilize ANGEL to connect with faculty and fellow students. Your grades, assignments, announcements, etc., are posted on ANGEL to better acclimate you to MSMC.
ORIENTATION, ADVISEMENT & REGISTRATION
Pre-Nursing: All entering Pre-Nursing AD.N students for the Spring are required to meet with Patricia Barberie from Academic Advisement for registration and course selection. Pre-Nursing Orientation is January 9th. The program will begin at 9:00 a.m. on the Doheny Campus in the Wig-Wam, please see your admit packet for additional details. Please RSVP to vgonzales@msmc.la.edu no later than January 4, 2010 if you plan to attend. If you have questions regarding advisement and registration, please contact Academic Advisement.
Direct to Program: All entering Direct to Program students must for the Spring are required to meet with their Nursing faculty advisor for registration. Orientation for Direct to Program candidates is January 2nd. The program will begin at 8:00 a.m. on the Doheny Campus in the Rose Hills Auditorium, please see your admit packet for additional details. If you have questions regarding advisement and registration, please contact the AD.N Department.
During Orientation, students will meet with various departments to facilitate the transition to the Mount. As a Spring admitted student, you should meet with your advisor prior to Orientation to register and secure courses; there is a small window of time to clear your status before the start of the Spring academic term
**In order to attend Orientation, a tuition deposit is required. Please contact The Office of Admissions at (213) 477-2561 to pay your deposit by December 16th, 2009.
Letters regarding Orientation have been mailed to new AD.N students. If you have not received a letter, please call the Office of Admission by December 23, 2009 to inquire about your status. The Office of Admission is closed December 24th through January 4th in observance of the holidays.
TRANSCRIPTS
Students must submit all final transcripts within one semester of attending Mount St. Mary’s in order to receive credit from pending courses. Transcripts must be sent institution to institution to be considered official; hand-delivered transcripts are considered unofficial. If you previously submitted unofficial transcripts, please resubmit official ones. Please request that the institution(s) mail all official transcripts (including the final transcripts for courses that you have recently completed) to:
