Message From The Dean

Welcome to Mount St. Mary’s! We welcome young, enthusiastic, energetic, quite confident, eager graduate students who know exactly where you’re going with your professional careers. We also welcome those not so young, not as sure of the career implications of your degrees, inquirers, seekers of meaning, those who want to explore large intellectual questions in contexts old and new. We welcome those who have family responsibilities and work full time. We welcome those who would be writers and teachers, health care providers, and business and community leaders in Los Angeles and beyond.

If you’re young and energetic and sure of where you want to go, we welcome you! Perhaps your calling is teaching, nursing, physical therapy, psychology or the study of religion. If you’re not as sure and have questions, or if you wake up finding yourself not quite as young as you once were, but full of thirst for learning and want to go back to school, welcome to Mount St. Mary’s! Our Humanities Program, where the world of ideas and the exploration of thoughts new and old brings together students of all ages, might be just for you. We welcome visionaries and future business and community leaders to our MBA Program. We welcome problem posers and problem solvers. We welcome all those who would challenge themselves to take up the Mount’s historic call to leadership and service.

We welcome you to our graduate community of scholars, teachers, mentors, and friends.
