We welcome all qualified applicants to Mount St. Mary’s College. Your enrollment, participation and contribution as a Mount student will help to create a better and more vibrant academic community, benefitting all who attend our College.

To apply for admission to MSMC as an INTERNATIONAL UNDERGRADUATE first-year or transfer student, please see the following checklist:

  1. You must complete your Application for Enrollment. You may use the Common Application, found here. Please be sure to complete your application in its entirety, and provide your signature (physical or digital, depending on your method of application). If you prefer to submit a written (paper) application, you may access it by clicking here.
  2. You must pay your application fee in full:
    1. $50 for paper applications
    2. $20 for online applications
    3. Select students may qualify for a fee waiver; please contact the Office of International Student Services by email for more information
  3. You must ensure that all required test scores are sent directly to MSMC by their respective testing agencies. You must take and pass the TOEFL examination (click here for more information) if your English proficiency does not meet or exceed our admission requirements. Please ensure your TOEFL scores are sent directly to MSMC by the testing agency.

Electronic applications and other digital submissions should be directed to Mount St. Mary’s College Los Angeles, and all materials will be centralized for your application process.

To apply for admission to MSMC as an INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE student, please see the following checklist:

You may use our Graduate Programs Online Application, found here. Please be sure to complete your application in its entirety, and provide your signature (physical or digital, depending on your method of application).   2. You must pay your application fee in full:
    1. $50 for paper applications
    2. $20 for online applications
  3. You must provide an essay to accompany your application. This will be dependent upon the degree program for which you are applying. Please click here for more information.
  4. You must ensure that all required test scores are sent directly to MSMC Office of Graduate Admission by their respective testing agencies.
  5. You must take and pass the IELTS or TOEFL examination. If your English proficiency does not meet or exceed our admission requirements. Please ensure your IELTS or TOEFL scores are sent directly to MSMC Office of Graduate Admission by the testing agency.
  6. If you have collegiate credits from a qualified institution, please ensure that your transcript is forwarded to MSMC Office of Graduate Admission by that institution’s registrar.
  7. Please provide your academic reference form, completed and mailed by the person providing your reference. For more on this, please click here.

What happens next?

Allow us to thank you for your application to Mount St. Mary’s College. We are grateful that students like yourself consider the Mount as part of your educational strategy – particularly from afar.

Mount St. Mary’s Office of Admissions will receive your application materials and documents and make sure your package is complete.

The Mount’s Admission Committee will then carefully review and discuss your application. Rest assured your application will receive fair and and thorough consideration.

If you are admitted, you will be notified by postal mail or through your Mount website account, created when you filed your Common or Graduate Student Application (whichever applies).

Once accepted, Mount St. Mary’s College will generate and issue an I-20 Form for your use in applying for an F-1 Student Visa from the Bureau of Consular Affairs, a service of the State Department. You will be notified when your I-20 Form has been issued. Click here to learn more.
