Nursing Program Definition

To determine whether or not you should apply to Mount St. Mary's College as a Pre-Requisite Nursing Student or Direct Program Student, check out the list below.

This should help you as you make your choice.

Apply as a Direct Program Nursing Student, if you have taken the courses below and your science g.p.a. is at least a 2.5 and your overall GPA is at least a 2.7.

  • Chemistry or Physics
  • Anatomy**
  • Physiology**
  • Microbiology**
  • Psychology
  • Sociology
  • English 1A & 1B
  • Public Speaking
  • Developmental Psychology

Most Direct Program Nursing Students apply and are accepted with Sophomore status. Anything other than this status is determined by the Nursing Department.

Apply as a Pre-Requisite Nursing Student, if you have not yet met the above requirements.
