WebAdvisor

WebAdvisor is The Mount's online tool that you will be using throughout your time here. You will use it to confirm enrollment, check financial aid, search for classes, register for classes and more

You should have already received a letter with your username and password. You will need these to access this tool. Click here to get your log-in info! 

MSMC Email

MSMC uses email as the official form of communication with our students. Important information is sent to your MSMC email account and it's your responsibility to check it often. You should have received a letter with your email address and password information. If you did not receive it, please contact the MSMC HelpDesk and provide your MSMC Student ID, as it is secured. Just call (213) 477-2970 or (866) 224-6968. A letter will be sent from the Admission Office to that includes your ID, username and password. If you do not receive it, please call 213-477-2561.

Angel

All students are required to utilize ANGEL to connect with faculty and fellow students. Your grades, assignments, announcements, etc., are posted on ANGEL to better acclimate you to MSMC.

  • To access ANGEL, go to the home page and click "MyMSMC." You will be redirected to another site and then you'll need to click "E-Learning." ANGEL will prompt you for a username and password. Your password is your email address. If you run into difficulty, contact the help desk at 213-477-2970.

Tuition Deposit Deadlines

A tuition deposit is required to secure your space at Mount St. Mary’s College. The deadline to submit your tuition deposit and decision form is Friday, December 2, 2011. To download a copy of the decision form, please see below.

Testing, Advising, & Registration

Information regarding placement exams, appointments with academic advisors* and registration are in your “Welcome” packet. If you have questions, please contact the Academic Advisement Office at 310-954-4070.

**To meet with an advisor, a tuition deposit is requiredPlease contact the Office of Admissions at 800-999-9893 to pay your deposit by December 2nd, 2011.

Transcripts

Students must submit all final transcripts within one semester of attending Mount St. Mary’s in order to receive credit from pending courses. Transcripts must be sent institution to institution to be considered official; hand-delivered transcripts are considered unofficial.  If you previously submitted unofficial transcripts, please resubmit you official final transcript.  Please request that the institution(s) mail all official transcripts (including the final transcripts for courses that you have recently completed) to:

What Happens Now?

Orientation

Recently admitted transfers for Spring 2012 are invited to attend Spring Orientation at the Chalon Campus. Orientation gives students the opportunity to meet other transfer students and College staff.  In addition, the Director of Academic Advisement will be available to go over academic policies and answer questions regarding courses taken at other institutions.

  • Orientation Date: Friday, January 6, 2012
  • RSVP Deadline: Wednesday, January 4th, 2012
  • RSVP Online Form
  • Time: Check-in begins at 9am. Orientation will last until 11:45am and campus tours will follow.
  • Location: Chalon Student Lounge

**In order to attend Orientation, a tuition deposit is required. Please contact the Office of Admission at (800) 999-9893 to pay your deposit by the deadlines indicated above.

Letters regarding Admission have been mailed to new Spring Transfers. If you have not received a letter, please call the Office of Admission by December 22, 2011 to inquire about your status. The Office of Admission is closed December 23rd through January 1st in observance of the holidays.

Forms Checklist

Students are encouraged to return their completed health forms as soon as possible. All health forms must be returned to Health Services no later than Friday January 6, 2012. Resident students are not permitted to move into the halls without obtaining clearance from Health Services.  

Housing (Residence Life)

Residence Hall Living :If you are residing on campus, you may move into your room beginning on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 9:00AM. You can check in and receive your room key at the Residence Desk in Brady Hall.

A deposit of $200.00 is required to submit a housing application.  A housing deposit will only be accepted if a tuition deposit has been submitted to the College.  Students interested in living on campus must submit their deposit in order to hold a space in the residence halls; students depositing after the May 1st deadline are subject to being placed on a waitlist if the residence halls exceed their capacity.

Financial Aid

Student ID

Students are required to have an MSMC ID card for access at Food Services, library, fitness facilities, student activities, check cashing at the Business Office, checking out items at the Residence Desk, and for security purposes. ID pictures are taken in the Food Service office on the Ground Floor of Leavey Commons.

Parking

Parking Fee: All student vehicles on campus must be registered with the College. Parking permits will be available for purchase for $185 at the Business Office.
