Description: The UCLA Pow Wow is an annual gathering of Native Americans at the North Athletic Field on Los Angeles' UCLA Campus. It is a wonderful concoction of music, dance and drumming, with an underlying message that indigenous American culture thrives.

Traditional songs, dances, drumming and fabulous feather and leather costumes are combined with workshops, dance contests and food tastings. Although the various dances and costumes are unique to each tribe, with the largest representative groups including the Sioux, Navajo, Cherokee, Camanchee and Pawnee, the unification of each tribe's traditions creates a Pan-Indian event.
