Floral Journey: Native North American Beadwork

 

Hours: Tuesday-Friday, 10am to 4pm, Saturday-Sunday, 10am-5pm

Price: Adults are $10, Students (w/ID) and Seniors are $6, Children (3-12) are $4, Children under 3 are Free/ Free every second Tuesday of the month including New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and President’s Day-for more information on discounts check the website.

Description:Floral Journey: Native North American Beadwork tells the story of why American Indian floral imagery became both a major means of artistic expression, a symbol of cultural resilience throughout the continent, and established a common ground of economic and creative exchange with Euro-Americans. The exhibition showcases both historic and contemporary objects to explore an artistic tradition that has persisted for centuries and continues to thrive in Native communities today.
