A cultural lunch experience with fellow MSMC faculty/staff in the surrounding Doheny neighborhood

Sept. 2010: Mount Faculty and Staff enjoy a delicious meal of a variety of tamales while learning about the incredible community work of Mamas Tamales from Mama – Sandra Romero. Mama's Hot Tamales Café is a job training restaurant designed to train low‐and‐moderate‐income residents from central Los Angeles begin a career path toward success.

“Mama” has received local and national recognition as an expert in helping informal economy workers (street vendors/ home caterers who prepare foods in their kitchens and sell them in make‐shift carts on the street) become formal food service employees in food service businesses www.mamashottamales.com
