Trevor Merrill studied literature at Yale University and the Ecole Normale Supérieure and received his Ph.D. in French Studies from UCLA. He has taught French language and culture at UCLA and in Paris for the UC Center of Paris and Sierra College. He has co-edited a book of essays by René Girard and collaborated on Psychopolitics (Michigan State University Press, 2012), a dialogue with psychiatrist Jean-Michel Oughourlian.
