Glenda Totten is a Director of Nursing Service for Nursing Quality at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center (KP-LAMC) overseeing nursing quality and patient safety for a 396-bed tertiary care hospital. Prior to this position, Glenda was the Clinical Nurse Specialist for Telemetry and Medical-Surgical for 8 years also at KP-LAMC. Her clinical interest lies in the prevention of Hospital Acquired Pressure Ulcers (HAPU) in the acute care setting, recently completing a research study and a Performance Improvement project on HAPU Prevention. She is passionately engaged in teaching nursing students apply evidenced-based medicine, research, PI methodologies for the betterment of the patient care experience and quality of life.
