Biography

Born in France, raised in Venezuela, Dr. Michele Fine came the to United States and spent 17 years working in all aspects of the Travel Industry. She received her BA, MA, and PhD from UCLA in Modern European Cultural History. Areas of study include the cultural and political history of France between the two world wars, with special emphasis on women suffrage; the League of Nations and the role of the media. Dr. Fine has taught at the Mount since 1988, and was chair of the Department of Language and Culture from 1992-2002. She currently holds the title of Associate Professor.
