Professor Leese holds an A.B. in Philosophy from Amherst College, an M.A. and Ph.D. in English and American Literature from Brandeis University, a J.D. from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from California State University, Northridge. He was a real estate broker from 1978 to 2001 and has served as an attorney in the State of California from 1968 to the present. Professor Leese's legal specialty is in real estate law. He has been an investor in real estate since 1975.
At Mount St. Mary's College, Professor Leese helped form the business department as its chair for seventeen years. He continues to be interested in law, management and literature, having taught in all three disciplines for his entire career. He taught previously at Brandeis University and Arizona State University. His most satisfying achievement was his selection as Teacher-of-the-Year in both the traditional and weekend college programs.
