Laura Gomez graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor's degree in music with an emphasis on voice performance, under the tutelage of Paul Salamunovich. While at LMU, she was an active participant in Campus Ministry, and the music director of the 8 pm Mass in Sacred Heart Chapel.
Laura came to the Mount in 1996 as the Liturgical Music Director, and on October 26, 1998, she became the Coordinator of Campus Ministry for the Chalon Campus, before being promoted to her current position in 2008. Previously music director at St. Cyprian's Church in Long Beach, and Director of the Music for the 5:30 pm Mass at St. Monica's, Laura is currently a cantor and music director for St. Charles Borromeo Church in North Hollywood. Laura has been a choir member and cantor at countless Archdiocesan liturgies, from the Jubilee Justice Conference to Rites of Election, the Mayor's Inauguration Prayer Service to (since 1991) the annual Los Angeles Religious Education Congress.
A parishioner at St. Charles Borromeo, Laura enjoys all kinds of music, film and theater.
