Judy Ontiveros is full-time faculty for the Traditional BSN program. She is also the Skills Lab Coordinator, maintaining supplies and equipment for all levels of the nursing program. Students come to the skills lab for extra practice, remediation, and help with projects and skills. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nursing, PeriAnesthesia Nurses Association of California, Oncology Nurses Society, International Association of Clinical Simulation Labs, and Simulation in Healthcare, International, and the National Student Nurses Association. She has authored chapters in the Certification Review Book for PeriAnesthesia Nursing and is a reviewer for the Journal of PeriAnesthesia Nursing. She also teaches American Heart Association Classes, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. She is also Regional Faculty for the AHA. The specialty area of practice is in PeriAnesthesia Nursing in which she held Certification in both inpatient and outpatient practice. She currently serves as advisor for the Nursing Honor Fraternity on campus, Alpha Tau Delta.
