Ms. Dahlman is the Director of Clinical Education & Academic Partnerships at Huntington Hospital, Pasadena, CA. In this role she oversees all clinical related education as well as clinical placement for students from nursing and all other academic affiliates. She serves as the advisor to the Nursing Education Council and works closely with the Director of Professional Practice/Magnet to ensure staff and patient outcomes are consistent to maintaining ANCC Magnet designation. She is certified in Nursing Professional Development through ANCC.
Prior to her current role in education & staff development, she was the Charge Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital in Inglewood CA. She enjoyed the fast-paced environment and care for high-acuity patients as well as the close collaboration with physicians and key ancillary providers.
Ms. Dahlman's educational focus is with empowering nurses to be responsible and accountable for their own competency, with the goal of improving the quality and safety of patient care delivery. She also enjoys the use of technology in education and training and continually looks for ways to enhance the delivery of new information and methods to improve practice and competency.
