If it's challenging for everyday travelers to make arrangements for a few pieces of luggage, imagine having to keep track of 100 bags on your overseas flight. It's details like these that keep things interesting for Carol Mikoll '78. As a leader of medical missions across the globe, Mikoll was recently charged with ensuring that 500 pounds of medical supplies would make it into the hands of team members working in volunteer clinics in the suburbs of Lima, Peru.
Mikoll, a longtime nurse, has been volunteering since 1999 with PROJECT C.U.R.E. (Commission on Urgent Relief & Equipment), a nonprofit organization that delivers medical supplies, equipment and healthcare services around the world.
