Hunt for Pancho Villa

In 1916, the legendary Mexican revolutionary, Pancho Villa, raided the town of Columbus, New Mexico in an attempt to provoke the U.S. to intervene in the Mexican Revolution. This video chronicles the attempt by Gen. John Pershing and the U.S. Army, in one of the last great calvary mobilizations in American history, to apprehend Villa. Archival footage, interviews and picture postcards are used to create a picture of the violent life on the border in the years before World War I.
