Los Angeles educators are fortunate to live in one of the world's most culturally diverse cities. Developing cultural fluency in Los Angeles can be an everyday event as you explore the city's museums, cultural centers, bookstores and neighborhoods. Here you can immerse yourself in another culture and find ideas and resources to take back to your classroom. At every turn you will find individuals who are anxious to tell you about their community. Go meet them!

Under each cultural community you will  find an annotated list of community cultural centers and directions for a half-day "journey" that will introduce you to a neighborhood rich in the traditions of that community.
