LaShunda Murphy – Special Education/Masters Program Alumni
When I think about Mount St. Mary’s I think about its small, beautiful campus. Everybody knows you. What I like is the advisors. They have your entire educational plan for you right then and there. You don’t have to worry about if you’re going to get a class or being on a waiting list because it’s right there for you. So, that’s what I love about it. In terms of the academics, whatever you learn you will definitely take with you. I am now a teacher in LAUSD and the program has helped me tremendously, all the great instructors I’ve had. This is the end of my journey at Mount St. Mary’s as I finish up my level 2 special ed. credential and it was just great. The instructors were great. The secretary is great. The people in the business office, the financial aid office, they are willing to answer all your questions and they’re really nice. I would do it all over again here at the Mount. I’ve also told others about the Mount. You’ll be finished before you know it! Their weekend program is so great. Try it and you’ll see.
