Student Spotlights

I knew the Mount was the place to get my Masters degree when I came back to the Mount to inquire about information on the Instructional Leadership Program. When I walked through the doors, Jill Verceles, the Ed Department secretary, remembered me from my days as an undergraduate. From that moment, I knew I was in good hands. When pursuing my degree in the Instructional Leadership program, I learned many strategies and techniques that I now use with my students and colleagues. The most interesting strategy I learned was cognitive coaching. This has been useful when planning for my class and helping colleagues plan for classes. Not only has this been helpful in my relationships and activities with students and colleagues, but this program has helped me gain confidence to take on leadership roles at my school.
