MSMC Doctor of Physical Therapist Education Program was granted accreditation on October 25, 2006 by Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).

Faculty News

Dr. Julia Chang, PhD published her research study in journal Neurology in 2007. Click here to view her research.
As one of the principal investigators, she is conducting grant-funded research from UCLA related to surgical management of epilepsy.

Drs. Diaz & LoweDrs. Diaz and Lowe presented their education research platform titled, "Comparison
of Two Types of Evidence-Based Practice Faculty Development Workshop,"
at CSM 07 Boston.

Dr. LeeDr. Lee presented his acute care special interest platform titled, "Embracing a New
Lifestyle After Gastric Bypass: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Postoperative Exercise
Programs in Acute Care Settings," at CSM 07 Boston.

Dr. Susie Mais-RequejoDr. Susie Mais-Requejo, DPT, OCS received her OCS award at CSM 07 Boston.

Professor Renee CordreyProfessor Renee Cordrey, PT, MPH, CWS served with a medical team conducting a site visit to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, March 2007 as part of the World Wound Care Alliance initiative (WWCA). The Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC) in partnership with Health Volunteers Overseas has created the WWCA initiative in order to increase the science of wound care to the underprivileged in developing countries and North America.

Dr. Nancy Harada, PT, PhD is conducting a home telehealth research study at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. As one of the principal investigators, she is planning to present her initial finding of the study at the VHA Care Coordination and Telehealth Leadership Forum: Sustaining Success and at the UCLA Center on Aging annual research conferences in 2007.

Dr. Derrick Sueki, DPT, GCPT, OCS served on the ABPTS Specialization Academy of Content Experts (SACE) in CSM 07 Boston.
