Thank you for your interest in the Graduate Religious Studies program here at The Mount! Graduate Religious Studies empowers students to open up their eyes and minds to religious traditions and their influence on individuals, cultures and societies in our complex and diverse world.
Students who earn an MA in Religious Studies at MSMC have a great deal of flexibility in crafting a program of study to meet their needs as full time working adults. Core courses give foundational theory in the study of religion, social justice, ethics, and scripture. Graduate Religious Studies professors encourage students to approach the study of these foundational theories from the starting point of lived experience, moving students to ask complex questions of the development of religion over time/across space so as to be engaged as more productive, informed, and flexible members of the human family.
If you are interested in learning more about our program, please contact us. We hope that Mount St. Mary’s is in your future, with your academic focus in Religious Studies.
Looking forward to meeting you soon,
Sr. Darlene M. Kawulok, CSJ, D.Min.
