Gone are the days when you can put them in a shoebox or desk drawer and leave them for a couple decades. Hear tips and tricks for preserving your digital memories from Vicky McCargar, MSMC Archivist – the Lone Arranger! In addition to her work at the Mount, Vicky teaches digital preservation online in the San Jose State library school and has consulted on digital issues for the Annenberg Foundation, Library of Congress and Tribune Co.
The Art of Thinking on Your Feet - Intro to Improv – Improv is basically how we live our lives – unscripted - and it teaches skills that are transferrable to the workplace. Join Kim Kenny, assistant vice president for institutional advancement at MSMC, graduate of Upright Citizens Brigade and former sketch comedy performer.

Advance Directives – Dealing with Care-Giving Issues for You and Your Loved Ones – presented by Yadira Garcia ’02, BA in sociology from MSMC, MA in gerontology from USC. She is an Elder Law Social Worker and will discuss powers of attorney for finance, advanced directives for health care and their requirements, capacity, revocation, elder abuse and more. Be proactive before the need arises – make your wishes known.
Tai Chi – the Philosophy for Mobility - Dr. Debbie Lowe, director and chair of MSMC’s department of physical therapy will present research on the health benefits of Tai Chi and discuss the basic philosophy of Sun Tai Chi. You will learn a few of the forms to get you started on your own program.
