Inter-Library Loan / Document Delivery Request Printable Form

Books and articles not available at Mount St. Mary's College Libraries may be available at another local library. The catalogs of many area libraries are available via the World Wide Web. An easy means of accessing these catalogs is through the Los Angeles Freenet website, www.lafn.org. (This website can be accessed by clicking on LAFreenet on the Library Research Resources webpage.)  The UCLA catalog is also available on the Web. We suggest that you try to find needed items that are unavailable at MSMC at other local libraries. However, if you cannot do this or if you have tried other libraries and have not been able to find the items you need, we can order them for you via Inter-Library Loan or Document Delivery. This process, however, takes time. Articles ordered through Document Delivery services normally arrive within one week of request. Books ordered through Inter-Library Loan normally arrive within two weeks. However, there are no guarantees on how long it will be before we receive the materials. There are sometimes extended delays. Materials should be requested well in advance of need to avoid disappointment. Some materials can be Rush Processed. However, this is very costly, and the requestor will be required to pay for this type of service. Normal service costs are paid for by the Library. Submit requests to Reference Desk at either campus library.
