If a student is unable to complete the remaining course work, has a passing grade, and can finish the work in one semester, the student may ask to receive an Incomplete with the consent of the Instructor. The student must have a compelling reason for not being able to complete the course work.
When:
This form must be filed by the last day of class before finals.
How:
The student should meet with the Instructor to discuss options.
The Instructor signs the form.
The Chairperson of the Department signs.
The form must be filed at the Registrar’s Office by the last day of class.
An incomplete may not be assigned unless this form is filed.
An Incomplete will remain as such unless removed by the Instructor within one semester. An Incomplete can be extended beyond one semester only upon petition to the academic dean.
If no grade is submitted by the deadline, the default grade will be automatically assigned.
