Studio Classroom Assistant - ISS/Enrollment Management/Title V Part A Grant

Location: Chalon Campus (West Los Angeles)

Will provide support in the classrooms on new learning technologies to faculty, staff and students.

Duties and Responsibilities:             

  1. Providing set-up during the retrofitting stages of new Studio Classrooms. 
  1. Providing ongoing support in the classrooms for faculty and students on new learning technologies
    and computer support. 
  1. Helping to implementing new teaching and learning technologies. 
  1. Assisting staff with equipment setup. 

Qualifications and Requirements:

Comprehensive understanding of studio classrooms in an academic setting. Strong working knowledge
of Windows operating system. Working knowledge of computer software, hardware, and maintenance.

Effectively organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks to meet established deadlines. Ensure timely repairs
and effective maintenance for minimal disruption, downtime and impact on student activities. Be analytical,
detail-oriented and accurate. Maintain accurate, detailed records. Provide clear reports in both oral and written
formats regarding accomplishments and needs. Troubleshoot and solve minor computer problems efficiently and effectively. Understanding of, and sensitivity to, the needs of a small diverse college environment.

Strong organization and prioritization, computer, oral/written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

A minimum of two to three years’ experience working with academic computing labs in small to mid-size
institutions. Previous demonstrated experience in Windows.

High School diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
