Women's Club Soccer Coach (Part-time, 20 hours per week) - Student Affairs

Location: Chalon Campus (West Los Angeles)

The women’s club soccer coach is responsible for establishing and maintaining a club soccer program at the college. This soccer program will compete competitively in tournaments in the Los Angeles area and the coach will recruit players from currently enrolled students, secure practice field space, arrange transportation, conduct practices and monitor risk management. This is a part-time position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.    Actively recruit soccer players from currently enrolled students in the associate and baccalaureate programs.

2.    Maintain equipment inventory, including uniforms.

3.    Coordinate transportation for practices and tournaments.

4.    Manage tournament entries.

5.    Secure off-site practice field space.

6.    Maintain regular office hours.

7.    Maintain accurate budget records.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Knowledge of soccer rules and regulations. Knowledge of local soccer leagues and competition structures.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with college women. Excellent written and oral communication
skills. Strong organizational and critical thinking skills. Ability to solve problems creatively.

Familiarity with college club sports, recreation and/or athletics. Awareness of safety precautions and practices as related to soccer specifically.

Bachelor’s degree required.

Live scan. California driver’s license; current CPR/FA/AED
