QUESTIONS ABOUT REQUIREMENTS, GPA AND TEST SCORES?
The ideal candidate will have taken:
- 4 years of college preparatory English
- 4 years of college preparatory Math
- 3-4 years of college preparatory Science
- 3-4 years of college preparatory Social Science
- 2-4 years of college preparatory Foreign Language
However, if you do not meet the above suggested requirements please feel free to continue to apply as we evaluate the entire application including essay, SAT scores, extracurricular activities, etc.
Baccalaureate Freshmen: middle 50% enter with a GPA between 3.30 and 4.0.
Associate Freshmen: middle 50% enter with a GPA between 2.70 and 3.35.
Non-Nursing Transfers: middle 50% enter with a GPA between 3.00 and 3.44.
Nursing Transfers A.D.N.: 2.5 Overall with a 2.25 in the sciences. As of Fall 2007, the science GPA will be a 2.5 minimum. B.S.N. - 2.7 Overall with a 2.50 in the sciences. Accelerated B.S.N. - 3.0
The average SAT for the 4 year, Baccalaureate Freshman program at the Chalon campus is between a 1420 and 1650 on the new SAT.
The average SAT for the 2 year, Associate Freshman program at the Doheny campus is between a 1100 and 1310 on the new SAT.
The average ACT for the 4 year, Baccalaureate Freshman program at the Chalon campus is between a 20 and 24. The average ACT for the 2 year, Associate Freshman program at the Doheny campus is between a 16 and 19.

How much does it cost?
Tuition and fees for our traditional undergraduate students is $24,550 for tuition and fees. On-campus housing is approximately an additional $9,620.

Can I get Financial Aid?
Yes.Approximately 93% of our students received some sort of financial aid.You will need to complete the Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to receive funds.If you would like more details about deadlines or applying for financial aid, click here to be directed to Student Financing.
QUESTIONS ABOUT DORMS?
Do you have family housing?
No, we do not have family or married student housing. Please visit the Residence Life portion of our site to get more information on our housing facilities.
Are there quiet hours for the dorms?
During the following hours, the halls are to remain quiet for study and sleep: Sunday through Thursday 10:00 pm to 8:00 am, Friday and Saturday, 12:00 am (midnight) to 8:00 am. Courtesy hours will be in effect during the times not covered by quiet hours.
Where do the men nursing students sleep?
There is limited housing for men at the Chalon Campus.

Where is Mount St. Mary's College?
We have two campuses. Our baccalaureate programs are taught on the Chalon Campus, which is located in the Santa Monica mountains in the City of Brentwood.Our Associate of Arts program is administered on the Doheny Campus located in the historic West Adams District. Where do I shop or hangout when I'm off campus?
Both of our campuses are located near great shopping areas and places to hang out.The Chalon campus is about 5 to 10 minutes away from Westwood, Santa Monica and the beach.There are great places to shop, eat or just grab a cup of coffee with friends.The Doheny Campus is minutes away from the fashion district and the best deals in town.
Can I bring a car to campus?
Mount St. Mary’s College resident students are not permitted to bring cars to campus for their freshman year. The College will not sell parking permits to freshmen resident students. A number of solutions to help freshmen get off campus for social, public service, and other discretionary purposes have been created.

Can I bring a computer on campus?
Yes, you can. All of our our dorms and lounges are equipped with network ability that allows for printing and connecting to the internet. Follow this link to the Office of Information Technology page for specific details on what you'll need to get connected.

Can I get my schedule online?
Once you are admitted, you will be given (via mail) a username and password to access the College's WebAdvisor tool.You will be able to check your schedule here.To see a sampling of course offerings, click here.
How do I check my application status online?
Once you are admitted, you will be given (via mail) a username and password to access the College's WebAdvisor tool. WebAdvisor allows you to check your admission status AND financial aid, if applicable.
Is there online registration?
Online registration is not yet available but is currently in the planning stages. You will be notified and trained when its completed.
How many computer labs do you have?
Check out the Office of Information Technology website for all the details on the number of computers in each of our labs and wireless connections.

What is the the deadline for the application?
The priority date is February 15th. To apply online, click here. If you would like be considered for our merit-based awards, you may want to consider applying through our Early Action Program.Applications are due December 1st.This is a non-binding contract and you still have until May 1st to give us your decision on whether you will be attending The Mount.
What is the average transfer student's age?
