Getting Access to WebAdvisor!
WebAdvisor is the Mount’s online tool that is used for checking application statuses and financial aid award information for those that are accepted. After registering, you will have the ability to check your schedule, grades and more.
Please follow the instructions below to get access for newly applied and continuing students
1. NEWLY APPLIED STUDENTS! Your application has been submitted. Congratulations on taking this important step! In approximately 2 weeks or so after submission, you can come back to our site and check the status of your file online. You will need a WebAdvisor username and password. If you don’t already have it, please follow the simple steps below.
Thank you for your application. This page will serve as your guide as you continue your journey to attend Mount St. Mary’s College. It is important for us to give you the tools that you need to succeed. So let’s get started!
2. Click here or copy and paste this URL (http://my.msmc.la.edu/WebAdvisor/ WebAdvisor) into your web browser. Follow the link to PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS. Choose the “I’m New To WebAdvisor” link. There are easy steps to follow in order to login in for first time.
- An MSMC Student ID # (this can be found above your name on the Application Status Letter or by calling your Admission Office).
- If you do not have an MSMC Student ID#, but have given us your Social Security Number (SSN), you may use it.
- An EMAIL ADDRESS (should have been given to The Office of Admission at some point previously).
- After entering this information, your username will show on the screen and you’ll be directed to Step #2.
- We will assign a temporary password to you. Enter the requested information and you’ll be directed to Step #3.

You’ll be asked to select (from the drop down menu) an email address to have the temporary password sent to. You must have provided MSMC with a valid email address at some point previously).

Notification that the password has been sent will appear and you will be asked to check your email account to retrieve your password. (Please allow time for the email to be sent and delivered to your email address).

Step #4 will ask you to enter your USERNAME and TEMPORARY PASSWORD in order to login. For security reasons, you will be aked to change your password immediately. Choose a password that you will remember but is not easily guessable at least 6 to 9 characters in length, with at least one number and one letter. Please refrain from using any part of your name or social security number.
You now have access to WebAdvisor!
Until you have made a tuition deposit, you may only login to and have access to the PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS area.
