Student Health Advocate Committee (SHAC)

The Student Health Advocate Committee (S.H.A.C.) is made up of full-time students from the Chalon and Doheny campuses. S.H.A.C. provides an array of health-related educational activities throughout the year.

Purpose

  1. Promote student leadership through curricular and co-curricular areas.
  2. Provide health advocacy outreach opportunities to the school and community.
  3. Serve as a laison between the Mount St. Mary's College Student Health Services and the student population.
  4. Create an awareness of and provide involvement in the large scope of healthcare.

SHAC offers

  1. Lower or upper class credit option
  2. National conferences
  3. Leadership development
  4. Resume enrichment
