Message from the Graduate Dean: Mount St. Mary’s College, Los Angeles graduate programs welcome women and men of all ages into its graduate and and certificate programs in Business, Education, Psychology, Religious Studies, Humanities, Nursing, and Physical Therapy. While there are many graduate schools in Los Angeles, as a graduate student at the Mount, you will find that the classroom setting and face-to-face interchange with faculty and peers is at the heart of our graduate learning environment. Some online graduate courses are available in selected disciplines. The graduate schedule of classes is designed for working professionals. Mount St. Mary's College, Los Angeles MFT classes are held in the evenings, as are graduate religious studies, education, and nursing classes. For the MBA, Los Angeles campus participation (near downtown) is required on weekends only; the same is true for the graduate humanities program. These programs are ideal for commuting students. In addition to the classroom and labs, you will discover opportunities for research, travel study, and graduate internships. For example, the MSMC Los Angeles MFT Program, MSN Program, and DPT Program provide a wide variety of clinical settings for those seeking professional licensure. Our MBA Los Angeles Doheny Campus Program requires an international field study (to China this year!) to learn how business is conducted across borders, giving our students the added edge of the best of b-school training. Graduate merit scholarships, graduate psychology scholarships, and other types of financial assistance are available to make graduate study affordable. A graduate financial aid officer is also available for consultation for those considering returning to school to re-tool or pursue a new career goal. Why choose the Mount? As you work toward your degree at MSMC, you will be guided by faculty with the highest academic credentials, librarians who understand the research needs of today’s graduate students, and dedicated student services professionals. Some of us have dedicated our entire professional lives to higher education; some of us have cutting-edge knowledge gained from recent Ph.D. programs; others of us are professional practitioners dedicated to teaching the next generation what we have learned through years of experience in the field. I invite you to explore the exciting graduate programs that Mount St. Mary's has to offer. We would be delighted to welcome you into our community of scholars, teachers, mentors, students, and friends. Linda A. Moody, Ph.D. Graduate Degree Programs: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) MS Counseling Psychology (MFT) MS Education/Teacher Credential
