Hazing Policy

No student(s) will conspire to engage in hazing, or commit any act that injures, degrades, or disgraces, or intends to injure, degrade, or disgrace any other student.

Definition

Hazing is defined as any method of pre-initiation into a student organization or any pastime or amusement engaged with respect to such an organization which causes, or is likely to cause, bodily danger, physical harm, or personal degradation or disgrace resulting in physical or mental harm to any student or person.

Examples

Such activities may include but, are not limited to the following: use of alcohol, paddling in any form, creation of excessive fatigue, physical or psychological shocks, the wearing of apparel which is conspicuous and not normally in good taste, engaging in morally degrading or humiliating games and activities, or any other activities not consistent with national, organizational or local policies, or the policies of the College.
