CRLA Tutor Training Modules
The Chalon Learning Center of Mount St. Mary's College has been certified and authorized by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) to award tutor training certificates from July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2008. This certification covers all three recognized levels of achievement. CRLA is an internationally recognized body of tutor training and management professionals based in Virginia.
All new Chalon tutors must attend the intial hour of orientation training with Daniel Aucutt, the Associate Director, prior to working. Thereafter, tutors are required to train concurrently while they tutor, and submit assignments as directed. The pace will be established during orientation based on each student's course load and work schedule. The syllabus for the Mount's CRLA tutor training program is enclosed below, accompanied by the appropriate links.
