Duties of the Executive Vice President

The Duties and responsibilities of the Associated Student Body Executive Vice-President shall be:

  1. Executive Board member.
  2. Budget Review Committee Chair.
  3. To take all minutes for both the DDASB Senate and Executive Board meetings.
  4. To provide consistent general support to the President (must be willing to collaborate extensively).
  5. Assumes the responsibilities of the President in the event of her absence/resignation.
  6. In the event of the resignation of the President, the Executive Vice President will have the option to assume the title and responsibility.
  7. Should she refuse to assume the title and responsibilities of the President, the Vice President for Service shall assume the title and responsibilities of the President.
  8. Must assist in the transition of the newly elected Executive Vice President following the Athenian Awards Reception (or Laurel Day)and before the last week of the Spring semester. In the event that the position is left vacant in the Spring, resource materials must be submitted to the newly elected Executive Board.
  9. To preside at meetings of the DASB Senate and the Executive Board in Absence of the DASB President.
  10. To act as general advisor to the freshman candidates for the senate during the election process.
  11. To represent the DASB in an official ceremonial function whenever the need shall arise if the President is absent.
  12. To oversee office transition for resigning members of the Senate and Executive Board as per the impeachment process.
  13. Be present in the DASB office for at least three (3) hours per week.
  14. To serve the interest of the Student Body of Mount St. Mary’s College above all else.
