What We Do: Community is a word you'll hear often at Mount St. Mary's College. Beginning with our founding by the religious community of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, the College's mission has been to reach out to the local and world community, and to provide opportunity through a rigorous, values-based education. As you see from the activities highlighted on the lower right, we do this in many ways and our students graduate with a strong commitment to give back to the communities from which they came or into which they settle when they pursue their careers.
