The National Hispanic Women's Conference (NHWC), the first large-scale conference of its kind, began 32 years ago and has grown from 50 to nearly 3,000 attendees. Started by Dionicio Morales, founder of the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation, the Conference was formed to create career opportunities for Hispanic women and bring greater awareness to the talent pool available in the Latino Community. Today, the Conference has established an impressive following of Latina professionals, corporate leaders, educators, high school and college stuents from around the country. The even gathers in a striking forum designed to share resources and learn from experts about career planning, educational acheivement, financial planning and life empowerment. Engaging workshops, inspiring speakers and a Career Fair and Expo round out the day.
