M.S. Degree in Education with a Specialization in Instructional Leadership
The Instructional Leadership program is a 30-unit program that prepares experienced teachers for leadership roles in curriculum and instruction. You will refine your pedagogy and curriculum development skills and develop the leadership skills required for coaching, mentoring, and professional development. One of the elective options is coursework that will support your preparation for National Board Certification. With this degree, you will be prepared for positions such as induction support provider, student teacher supervisor, literacy or math coach, program coordinator, and professional development leader. The program can be completed in five semesters or at your own pace. The culminating activity is a masters project that you conduct in your own classroom or school, putting into practice the skills you have developed in curriculum design and instructional leadership.
