Child Development Major
Department Affiliation: Psychology
The Child Development major provides an interdisciplinary approach to the understanding of children as individuals and as members of society. Courses in this major are those specifically relevant to children and families within the departments of psychology, education, sociology, art, music and English. The major in Child Development is recommended primarily for students who seek careers working with children and families in child care, educational, hospital child life, or social services settings.
