ISAE is part of the TRIO Title IV Federal Grant Program designed to assist first generation, low-income, disabled college students excel in their college career. The MSMC ISAE/Student Support Services Program is located at both the Chalon and Doheny campuses.
History of I.S.A.E.
ISAE (Institute for Student Academic Enrichment), is a Student Support Services, federally funded TRIO program under the Department of Education. TRIO programs began in 1964 with Upward Bound, adding Talent Search in 1965, and Student Support Services in 1968. Additional TRIO programs include EOC and McNair Scholars. There are currently about 800 Student Support Services programs nationwide.
ISAE has been at Mount St. Mary's for over 14 years. We are currently in the first year of our new grant. Because we are a grant funded program, certain restrictions are placed on membership qualifications, and participation in program activities is required.
