Election 2008

This year we are sponsoring several events, including a mock presidential debate, to educate students on current issues and to ensure that students are able to make informed decisions at the ballot box.  Voter information packets as well as voter registration forms are available in our office.

PLEN: Public Leadership Education Network

Through the Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN), students attend seminars and network with members of Congress and other women leaders in Washington, D.C.   This year students will have the opportunity to attend one of two PLEN conferences in Washington, DC.   The Women, Law, and Public Policy seminar will take place November 7-9, 2008, while the Women in Science and Technology Policy Seminar will take place January 5-9, 2008.  Applications are available on our website and in our office.  Information sessions will be scheduled soon.

Leadership Scholars

Applications to join the Leadership Scholar Program for 2008-2009 are available now.  If you are a Freshman or Sophomore student interested in applying to the Leadership Scholar program, you can download the application on our website or obtain a copy in our office.  Applications are due by August 29, 2008.

Orientation Leader Recruitment

Orientation Leaders serve new students by acting as mentors and assisting in the transition process.  Orientation Leader applications will be available on both campuses in October.
