Mount St. Mary's College is proud too ffer three sororities at the Chalon campus. Participating in Greek Life helps to increase students leadership opportunities, gives them opportunities to participate in community service,build life long networks and friendships.

Kappa Delta Chi is the longest standing sorority at Mount St. Mary's College. This organization is not only a social sorority, but it is continually involved in various campus events, community service, fund raising, and sisterhood events.

Purpose
The purpose of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority shall be:

  1. To establish an environment conducive to the development of sisterhood, friendship, and unity among its members.
  2. To provide opportunities for social development to the members of Kappa Delta Chi
  3. To actively participate in and support Mount St. Mary's College activities and functions.

Being a sister of Theta Alpha Sigma means school pride, bonds with women who share common goals, and knowing that any time you need a friend, a sister will be there for you.

Purpose
Theta Alpha Sigma is a Catholic based service and social sorority, which was founded on the premise of the following Six Core Elements: sisterhood, academic support, emotional support, community service, school participation, and spiritual growth.

Theta Alpha Sigma encourages the development of true, lifelong sisterhood through social activities. Theta Alpha Sigma provides its members with full academic and emotional support through an internal support base, as well as referrals to tutoring and counseling. Theta Alpha Sigma is involved in community service projects and remains active within the campus community. It also fosters, develops, and enriches the Catholic (Christian) faith through prayer, retreats, and reflection.

To achieve spiritual growth Theta Alpha Sigma upholds Five Essential Components: participating in a worship community, celebrating liturgical seasons, emphasizing spiritual and religious growth, reflecting a commitment to social justice, and maintaining social ties with the larger Catholic community.

Sigma Theta Psi was formed on November 13, 1991 at San Jose State by 18 women seeking to solidify and immortalize the values and responsibilities which embodied their persons.

Purpose
The purpose of the Chapter is to form a relationship amongst a group of individuals who will carry on a lifetime friendship with each other. They shall create a special bond and learn to grow spiritually. This Chapter will serve as a support group, educationally and emotionally. In addition, it will provide social and community involvement opportunities for the group.
