Weekend Three June 21 – 22, 2008

Fall Registration
Registration for Fall 2008, will begin on the fourth weekend, July 12th. You need to contact Dr. Kidd or Nancy McCook to lift the advising hold on your account. Make sure you understand the departmental rules for adding/dropping courses. If you are a new student and need help registering, go to Registrar’s web page www.msmc.la.edu/pages270.asp; click on “ALL STUDENTS” next to “Graduate Students”; click on “Online Registration Instruction.”

The complete list of courses for Fall will be available July 7th. Please make your selection and register early in order to be sure to get the course(s) you want. Courses that have not filled by August 18th will be cancelled.

WHY register Early?

• It costs you nothing upfront to register -- register now; pay later. It gives a better idea of class enrollment, helps avoid        class cancellations.
• It gives you a better chance to get you first-choice course(s).
• It gives you one less thing to think about during finals week.

Sunday, July 13th, Weekend Four, there will be a meeting for all Humanities Students at 12:30 in the back room of the dining area in Ahmanson Commons. Check Your MSMC Email ! !
All fully accepted students are issued an MSMC email account. So you are aware of important events, policies and deadlines, please check your MSMC email at least once a week. Make sure you check Registrar’s Deadlines to avoid pain and disappointment.
Your email may be accessed through the MSMC web site www.msmc.la.edu or through the Groupwise system found on the desktops of the computers in the computer labs and classrooms. If you wish to forward your mail to another address, you can do that through the Groupwise system here at school. Your email address is the first four letters of your first and last name. For example, the login for Mary Jones is maryjone. Your password is randomly selected. If you have NOT received this information, please contact the Office of Information Technology (OIT) at 213-477-2970.

Email is the official communication system of the College. ALL important notices, deadlines and information regarding your schedules and classes are sent through this system. It is your responsibility to be aware of these notifications.
