Founded in 1925 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, the College had its original campus at St. Mary’s Academy at Slauson and Crenshaw Boulevards in downtown LA.

After the purchase of property in the Santa Monica Mountains in 1928, the College built its Chalon Campus, which is home to its traditional baccalaureate degree program. This program offers 24 bachelor of arts majors and 6 bachelor of science majors.

The gorgeous Chalon Campus is perched high in the Brentwood hills and features many breathtaking views, including the Santa Monica Mountains, the City of Los Angeles, and the Pacific Ocean.

Students can also take advantage of a campus shuttle to visit a number of Westside resources, shopping, and attractions—including Brentwood and the beaches of Santa Monica.

The striking Spanish colonial architecture at this campus is designed to serve as a serene environment where students can focus on academics, but it has also achieved Hollywood celebrity status as the location for Harbor High School on the television show The O.C.
