CoachArt improves the quality of life for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses and their siblings by providing free lessons in the arts and athletics. This unique program offers a creative outlet to distract patients from the pain, therapies and isolation often associated with chronic illness and provides a sense of normalcy. The programs serve youth between the ages of six and eighteen.

House of Ruth serves over 140 women and children a year with comprehensive support and transitional services, which include on-site services of shelter, meals, mental health services, health services, crisis intervention, life skills training, case management, childcare and other needed support services. Beyond serving families in our housing program, an additional 500 people a year (minimum) are provided with referrals for food, medical help, shelter, and other crisis services.

Summer Night Lights - Office of the Mayor, City of LA

Summer Night Lights is an anti-gang initiative that keeps parks open after dark - during the peak hours for gang activity - with free food and expanded programming. By empowering communities and targeting the traditionally most violent summer months, Summer Night Lights has become a national model for violence reduction. Since 2008, SNL has expanded from 8 parks to 24 citywide, leading to a 57% reduction in gang-related homicides in SNL neighborhoods.

The Education Center has been designed to train and equip high school and college students with training and on-the-job experience that would not be available to the students in their communities. Classroom and laboratory instructions affords the students hands-on opportunities to train and operate equipment and receive formal presentations from experts in the fields of instruction. The learning experience is enhanced through field trips to facilities of our training partners The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros., Paramount Studies and Nickelodeon, to name a few. Instruction and training in crafts uniquely tied to the entertainment industry are augmented through distance learning via the Teleconference Center.
