Why Should I Donate?

The hair you grow, cut, and donate will be transformed into free high-quality wigs.  The donated hair will be used to two locations, Beautiful Lengths and Locks of Love.

The Beautiful Lengths Program makes wigs for women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment. 

The Locks of Love Organization makes wigs for children who have lost their hair due to any diagnosis.

It takes 6-8 ponytails to make one wig.

How Can I Donate My Hair?

1. Sign up and get event information from the Office of Student Affairs, Humanities 200, or call (310)954-4130.
2. Follow some of the Do's and Don'ts tips to grow healthy hair.
3. Check for any e-mail reminders and confirmations for the event.
4. On the day of the event, your hair must be clean and dry, therefore without any styling product on it.
5. Finally... MAKE THE CUT!

Imagine a woman not having hair to communicate her confidence and self-expression. YOU can change that, by donating 8 inches of you hair.  The fight against cancer is hard on women, but you can restore their self-image with a simple donation.  With your donation, women can fight cancer with style and confidence.

What Do You Need to Participate?

• A minimum of 8 inches of hair.
• Hair cannot be bleached, permanently colored or chemically treated.
• Hair cannot be more than 5% gray.
