On Thursday August 26, Mount St. Mary's College was proud to present as part as the Mountapolooza Chalon Welcome week 2010, the Student Involvement Fair. With the beautiful California sunshine weather, new and returning Mount students had the opportunity to come together at the Circle to explore for themselves many of the wonderful opportunities the Mount has to offer. There were numerous booths set up for clubs and organizations, attracting students and providing information to learn more about the communities they could join. By filling out a quick survey at the Career Services and Internships booth you were able to receive free highlighters! Students received free ice cream to cool themselves off from the heat. Though that was not the only free food, cookies, pastries as well as candy were also distributed among the booths for students to take; and as every college student learns ‘never say no to free food’. All this was also accompanied by music provided by Amp radio to add more joy to the already glorious environment. This was an excellent event that provided students with the information needed to be involved and successful in college. Students could join a sorority, club or organization to develop vital leadership skills; gain new friends, sign up for a tutor, and even start thinking of studying abroad. This was just the first step in making new discoveries of what is available for the Mount students.
