Students request more information for schools of their interest. |
On October 21, 2010, the Graduate School Fair was held at Mount St. Mary’s. This event, which only comes around once a year, is a great opportunity for every student to take advantage of. There were well over twenty graduate schools present where students could get information and have their questions answered. All students were welcomed to the Campus Center to see what was offered. Programs of studies included Biology, Business, Psychology, Sociology, Nursing, Law, and Education.
Students were free to explore the schools they wanted; those who already have a major could gain information on possible graduate schools they might be attending in the future. Those who are currently undeclared were able to search for programs in an area of interest. This event is a major thing at the Mount, which was widely announced for the benefit of all students.
All schools present not only had information for students but also goodies, which included highlighters, pens, as well as candy; there was also snacks provided for students by the advisement center. This event was very helpful for many students by preparing them by providing useful information. Students who attended are a step ahead for a bright future in graduate school, which for some is not that far away. This yearly event gathers a great amount of students and at the Mount every student knows how important their education is.
“It was a wonderful learning experience that helped me prepare for the future. I know that with the information I got I will learn more regarding graduate school.”
