On Tuesday September 20th, the office of Student Programming and Commuter Services lightened up the campus with an interactive event, lead by Sade Roberts. The event took place on the Administration Lawn, where commuters and residents took time from their busy schedules to relax, and get a little creative. Students were supplied with a variety of charms, and strings that consisted of all colors and designs to make their personalized bracelet. The atmosphere of the event was very much alive, and some students were really focused on the craft. With Disney Movie Soundtracks playing in the background, it definitely took many students back to childhood.
The response to this event was a definite success! The tables put out for this event, were always filled with students and charms. Not all students that dropped by had to make a bracelet, some would simply come by between classes to socialize with their fellow peers. Upon completion of their charm bracelet, students were rewarded with Ice Cream! A free bracelet and a treat! What more could you ask for? If you were not able to attend this event, there is no need to fret! Sade next project is “Fall Fair”, a day when our college becomes carnival in October. An event promised to be filled with many activities and treats! Also, Student Programming has a calendar filled throughout the year with events! Be sure to look at the Chalon Student News every week to remind you of these events and more!
